Palkies (palanquins), ponies, and pithoos (porters) are available for hire at Katra to assist pilgrims who cannot trek the entire distance:
- Palkies: Carried by four people, suitable for elderly or disabled pilgrims.
- Ponies: Animals that can carry pilgrims or their luggage.
- Pithoos: Porters who carry luggage on their backs.
The rates for these services are fixed by the Notified Area Committee (NAC). A pre-paid system is available at Chetak Bhawan Katra and Holy Bhawan for the convenience of pilgrims.
